YOKO-GFB-A
YOKO-GFB-A combines fluid-bed drying with granulation or coating functions across reference batches from 0.2 kg to 300 kg. The model table covers fan demand, compressed-air consumption, operating pressure, and selected footprints. A suitable configuration depends on powder behaviour, target granule or coating attributes, binder or spray system, filter strategy, airflow, heat and mass balance, containment, and cleaning requirements.
Equipment purpose
This family is intended to fluidize powders or granules for controlled drying, top- or bottom-spray processing where configured, and batch granulation or particle coating. It provides a scalable equipment path from laboratory work to larger pharmaceutical or nutraceutical batches, subject to model-specific process hardware.
Operating sequence
Conditioned process air enters below the product container and suspends the material in a fluidized state. For granulation or coating, a nozzle introduces binder or coating liquid while airflow removes moisture and controls particle movement. Product loading, air velocity, filter resistance, spray rate, droplet size, inlet conditions, exhaust humidity, and endpoint measurement must be balanced to prevent channeling, filter blinding, overwetting, attrition, or uncontrolled agglomeration.

Selection questions
The family covers these process types, but the actual capability depends on the configured product container, nozzle position, spray system, filters, controls, and accessories. The quotation and process diagram must identify the required mode or modes; a drying-only arrangement should not be assumed to include coating hardware.
Provide batch size, bulk and tapped density, initial and target moisture, particle-size distribution, flow, temperature sensitivity, solvent or binder information, target granule or coat attributes, containment needs, and available air and exhaust conditions. Laboratory trials are valuable when fluidization or spray behaviour is uncertain.
The endpoint should relate to the product requirement, such as residual moisture, loss on drying, granule properties, or coating weight gain. Inlet temperature or elapsed time alone does not prove the endpoint. The test method, sampling location, sampling frequency, and acceptable range should be agreed before validation work.
Possible causes include unsuitable loading, wide particle distribution, cohesive material, insufficient or excessive airflow, wet filters, poor distributor selection, electrostatic effects, overwetting, or an incorrect spray pattern. Trial records should capture pressure drop, air conditions, spray rate, filter cleaning, and product observations so the cause can be separated from the symptom.
Confirm conditioned-air supply, heating medium, compressed air, exhaust capacity, filtration, dust collection, drainage, electrical standard, room pressure, safe access, material charging and discharge, and any explosion or solvent controls. Larger models also require a layout review for product containers, lifting, cleaning, and maintenance clearance.
